Data Processing Manager

 

Skeye is looking for a Data Processing Manager to manage our motivated team of in-house data processors at Skeye. The Data Processing Manager is responsible for the planning, execution and performance of the team. You’ll also join the team in data processing whenever necessary.

You and your team members will take responsibility for the data processing of primarily LiDAR and photogrammetric datasets. You will process this data into high-quality GIS products that the client can use for their projects. Throughout this process you will maintain direct contact with your team members at the offices in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, ensuring that all products delivered meet our quality standards and the set deadlines.

This vacancy is for a full-time position at our office in Heinenoord (Rotterdam). Occasional short travel will be part of the job. To be able to fulfil this role you will need a valid work permit for the Netherlands or be able to get sponsored for a Highly Skilled Migrant visa (if below 30 years old or having previously studied in the Netherlands).

Your responsibilities as a Data Processing Manager

  • Lead and oversee all data processing activities;
  • Managing and developing of team members;
  • Managing data processing planner and timelines;
  • Joining the team in processing of photogrammetry and LiDAR datasets;
  • Quality Control before delivery of projects;
  • Drive data processing efficiency;
  • Innovation on all topics regarding data processing together with Technology Director;
  • Communication with clients and internal stakeholders;
  • Support commercial and tendering activities with operational input and feasibility assessment;

Your qualities

  • Demonstrable knowledge in Geodesy/Geo Information Science/Remote Sensing
  • Experience with photogrammetric and LiDAR processing is a plus;
  • Hands on approach, joining in data processing whenever necessary;
  • Analytical and precise person;
  • Good communication and team management skills;
  • Innovative mindset looking for new workflows and technologies;
  • Broad interest in the geo-information and survey field;
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus but not required;
  • Willing to undergo a criminal record check (VOG);
  • Must live within commuting distance of the Heinenoord office;
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with surveying work.
